FYI - I do not have a computer at home to send updates on Lorie this weekend so Deborah Barrett has graciously offered to do this for me. So, you will still be getting updates on Lorie until Tuesday from her. Thanks Debbie for offering to do this for me. I will, however, give you an update before I leave today.
We do love Lorie and when I say "we" I mean everyone who has ever met Lorie. Lorie is our mother, our wife, our daughter and for the majority of us, our friend. She has touched us all in such positive ways, so many times, it's too numerous to recall. A few days after Chistmas 2005, Lorie had to have emergency surgery, and now, days later, she is still unconsious. - Brett

12-31-05 MORNING UPDATE FROM YVONNE
The Doctors are encouraged that Lorie's liver is starting to function a little better today. Her vital signs are good and her fever is down. Today they have started to take her off all of the sedation and have noticed her eyelids are flickering which is a good sign. The Doctor's feel Lorie should start trying to wake up without all of the sedation which is the news we all want to hear. I should have another update early evening when Yvonne calls me back.
We are claiming a complete recovery for you Lorie. Our prayers are with you and your family. This is just a big speed bump on the highway of life!
