What Happened:
Everyone is asking what happened so here is the story. Last Friday she was in a lot of pain so her husband took her to the emergency room. They ran tests and couldn't find anything so they sent her home. She went back Saturday with the same thing and again they sent her home. On Sunday when she could no longer stand the pain her husband insisted they keep her which they did. Yesterday her heart rate was extremely high. They called her husband early yesterday morning and told him they needed him at the hospital right away. He was told she would die if they didn't do emergency surgery. He agreed so they took her in. Her heart stopped on the operating table and they brought her back. When they opened her up they discovered one of her intestines was twisted and shut off. They believe it might have happened during her C section when Hannah was born recently. Her heart rate is still high, her blood pressure is very low, she has a 103 fever, her kidneys are not functioning as they should, and she's on a respirator. She is breathing along with the respirator which is a good sign. Some of you have asked about visiting her. Her husband said it was OK as long as only a few at a time come. She is in ICU at SouthCrest in room 10. He thought it would be good for people to talk to her. She needs to wake up. He is so appreciative of your concern for Lorie and the family and he said to tell you thank you.
Yvonne
